Yann Tiersen comes back to the UK after a two year absence

Yann Tiersen **** is a French muti-instrumentalist musician and composer, who rose to fame after songs from his albums,were used as soundtracks for the French film "Amelie". He mainly splits his career between studio albums, collaborations and film soundtracks. Throughout the show, Yann Tiersen plays songs from old and new releases, while performing on almost all the instruments from the stage...and believe me the stage was full of instruments such as violin, piano, accordion, toy piano,melodica and many more.

With his amazing musical talent, Yann Tiersen manages to put the entire Festival Hall into a total silence... a good type of silence not the kind that makes you feel uncomfortable. Tonight's show is part of his 2019 tour, which he is doing to promote his brand new album 'All'.

Yann Tiersen has support from various other artists, which he has collaborated in the past with like Anna von Hausswoolff and Olavur Jakupsson. On each song he performs with one of these artist, and every time they take to the stage the hall fills with a majestic nostalgic feeling... and it all is very magical. With stage lights playing an important role in complementing every musical note performed, and with a backdrop to emphasize the true beauty of nature... as shown also in some of his music videos. 

From time to time, between songs, the artist doesn't fail in thanking the audiance and even telling a story from one of his holidays. With standing ovations from a nearly Sold Out! hall. Yann Tiersen is called back on stage twice for the encores, which gives the audience good value for money. Over all Yann Tiersen is an artist that I would definitly recommend seeing live, if you get the chance.
