The Pretty Reckless - Open up the show for Shinedown!!!

Time to get a little Reckless!!!

The Pretty Reckless **** as most people already knows is fronted by Taylor Momsen who is a talented actor, model and singer, like Jared Leto (Actor and singer of the band 30 Seconds to Mars) she can do it all.She has a strong powerful voice that is perfect for Rock, and why they are up there with  bands such as Halestorm, Within Temptation and Evanescence to name a few. As one of the opening acts for Shinedown’s 'Planet Zero' tour, along with the band Diamante... The Pretty Reckless would have to go all out tonight to make sure they are noticed because Shinedown always put on such a spectacular show.

Taylor performed many of her hit songs to a welcoming crowd, at the Grand Rapids show at the Van Andel Arena, she opened her set with the Soundgarden song 'Loud Love'. Nice to hear them do a cover of a band who had such a iconic frontman with such a big voice, Chris Cornell really had such a big vocal range. And the fact Taylor can get to all the notes is really impressive. 

It's a really good set including the hits 'Only love can save me Now', 'Death by Rock and Roll' and 'Heaven Knows' amongst others. Taylor used the entire stage playing to all areas of the audience sometimes stopping to pose with her arms outstretched. Other times she would come to the front of the stage to get closer to the crowd in front. The Pretty Reckless have learned so much from being on the road, so they know how to play to big and small venues. They also know how to use the lighting, to make sure Taylor is lit up at all times... so that she is visable wherever you are in the venue.

The Pretty Reckless don't 'Make me wanna Die', but want to listen to their CD's a little more than I have done before. This is a great track to listen to if you are 'Going to Hell', which is the title of another song to be taken note of in their set. They have so many good Rock songs, which are layard with classic riffs and layers. And all the members have musical abilities beyond their years, so this adds to their performance.

The Pretty Reckless end their support set with 'Take me Down', which is a great song to finish on. The crowd were singing along to many of the songs and definitely wanted to hear more, and I think their was quite a few that have come out to especially see them. If you missed them on their US tour, then don't panic they will hit the UK in October for a massive headline tour. So get on a plane, and head to see them in London or maybe in Manchester or even in Birmingham... you won't be disappointed.
