*****

Overkill release a classic Metal live album

Overkill havn't stopped for breath over the last decade, they have pumped out one fantastic album after another like clockwork every other year. The band have also been touring constantly, all the time maintaining a quality of great songs and supreme musicianship. They are at the point that a band can only get to by shredding for thirty years, and this band has not stopped.

'Live in Overhausen' is a Blu-Ray and double CD package which sees the band in Oberhausen, Germany celebrating two anniverasies and play both 1991's 'Horrorscope' and 1985's debut 'Feel the Fire' in full. A thrashing marathon set of twenty one songs and it's so much fun both to wath and listen to that the time flies by.

The band are laser precise tight and frontman Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth takes you through the set with his priceless, hilarious in between song banter. (You make me feel like I'm fifty all over again!) There's really no need to bang on.

What you see is what you get, a great live package which works both for your viewing and listening pleasure. A must have purcase from one of Thrash Metal's longest surviving and most consistant bands, and this is another great release... well worth purchasing.
