Maxdmyz play a very special Alt-Fest warm up date!

An official Alt-Fest warm up event takes place at The Intrepid Fox venue in north London this weekend, headlined by Maxdmyz with support from The Last Cry (Formerly Children on Stun) and a solo set by Reza Udhin (of Killing Joke and Inertia) to showcase his new Black Volition project. There will also be DJ sets from Reza Udhin and Ays Kura (Die Kur). All this action takes place on Sunday 27th of July with doors opening at 7pm and an entry fee of just £4. The Intrepid Fox is now located at : 1 Archway Close, London N19 3TD.

For Maxdmyz the show also serves as a launch party for ‘Grieve’, the first single to be released from their forthcoming new album ‘The Hate Plane’ which will be release on the 18th of August. The band will also be performing at Alt-Fest itself, playing the S.O.P.H.I.E. stage on Saturday the 16th of August at 1pm.

Having built a loyal following via a brace of albums and a series of EP’s with what can loosely be termed an ‘Industrial Metal’ focus, the London based quintet Maxdmyz have truly delivered with ‘The Hate Plane’. With a broader sound palette that draws on acknowledged metal influences such as Pantera, Type O Negative and Nile, as well as maverick Electronicist Squarepusher, the album is both visceral and intelligent and contains a remarkable diversity of songs that run the gamut from thrash to Progressive and Alternative Rock with an occasional hint of Electro-Pop. Bravura musicianship and a sympathetic production courtesy of Ays Kura (Die Kur) give these compositions a satisfying coherence, with one listen amply demonstrating its wide-ranging texture, feel and integrity as the band effortlessly traverse the genres.
