Distracting me... from writing a longer review!!!

'Distract Me' by The Desert is am extremely provocative new song, that grabs you in the more you listen to it. I can't get it out of my head, and I am not meaning in a Kylie Minogue way. The structure is a complete dystopian masterpiece, a hidden vacant landscape of sounds. The vocals are soothing and captivating, bringing you more into the Avant Garde sequences.

If Josh Homme wrote this song, I wouldn't be surprised because it's that good. The changes always take you by surprise and just when you want to hear more, and out the track on over and over again... it's brilliant. Acoustic appegios come in and build the song up just when you want them too, and you are not left wanting more.

I listen to a lot of new music and it's rare for me to be excited about an artist. But this does it. When you are done listening to this song all you will think of is , "I want more". It had an unexpected David Lynch feel that made me feel like I didn't know what ride I had gotten on but it didn't matter, you knew you were going to enjoy it.
